Deciphr AI's auto-transcription feature makes it a breeze to get your web-ready and SEO-friendly transcripts in a jiffy.
When you use Deciphr AI, every file you upload comes with an automatically-generated transcript that turns your audio or video episode, webinar, meeting, or discussion into detailed and easy-to-read pages of text.
With Deciphr AI, you can have your audio and video files accurately transcribed to a t in just a matter of minutes.
Here’s how you can do it:
Step #1: Visit app.deciphr.ai to log into your account.
Step #2: On the home page, look for the purple "Upload" button in the upper left-hand corner of the page and click it.
Step #3: Once you’re on the upload screen, go ahead and drag and drop your file into the upload box in the middle—or click the "Browse" button to select a file from your computer. Remember: we currently only accept TXT, DOC, DOCX, MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV, and WebM files—so make sure to convert your file if it isn’t in any of these formats.
Step #4: After picking and uploading your file, you'll have the option to trim your audio or video file. When you're satisfied with the trim, click "Continue".
Step #5: Now, you can specify the speakers in your upload. This will make it easier to navigate your transcript later. If there are more than two speakers, click "Add new speaker" until all speakers are noted and labelled for.
Step #6: After entering the speaker names, click "save".
Step #7: Now, just wait for Deciphr AI to process your file. You can check the processing time under "Processing Your File"—and you'll also receive an email from us when your file is ready.
Step #8: Once your file is processed, you can find it on the Library page. Click on the tab with your file's name to access your transcript.
Step #9: From the output page, there are three ways to get your transcript:
Click the download button on the right-hand side of your file's output page. Untick the boxes for the content you don't need and click "Download Selected".
Go to the "Transcript" tab on the content part of the output page. Click the "Copy" button and paste your transcript into a document or notepad.
In the "Transcript" tab, click "See More". Look for the "Content" menu on the left-hand side and click the "Copy" button beside the "Transcript" tab. Paste the transcript into a document or notepad.
Step #10: If you want to edit the transcript to correct a few things here and there on your generated transcript, just head over to the part that needs tweaking, click on the line of dialogue you want to edit and type in your revisions—repeat this process until you don’t have to anymore!
