Experiencing hiccups when trying to upload your audio file on Deciphr AI can be a real setback, especially when you're on a tight schedule (or just really eager to publish new content).
Here’s what you can do to troubleshoot a problem with uploading your audio file:
Step #1: Check your file size.
On the Flexi-Free plan, each file upload is limited to 40 minutes. So, if the audio file you’re trying to upload exceeds that limit, consider upgrading to a paid plan or reducing the length of your file to fit the limit.
Step #2: Check your file type.
Currently, Deciphr AI only supports MP3 and WAV audio file formats. If your file’s type doesn’t fall under either of these two, then you’ll have to convert it to a Deciphr AI-supported format so that it gets recognized as a valid upload.
Step 3: Verify your account.
To enable file uploads, your Deciphr AI account has to be verified. If it isn’t, then you’ll get a “Verify Your Account First” alert that will prevent you from uploading your audio file entirely.
Here’s how you can check your account’s verification status (and get verified, if it isn’t):
To check if you’re verified, log into your account at https://deciphr.ai/
Afterward, click on your Profile name at the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
Under the drop-down, select Profile Settings.
Scroll down and click on Request Verification Email.
Step 4: Check the length of your file.
Deciphr AI requires audio files to be at least 1 minute (60 seconds) long for the system to recognize them. If your audio file is less than a minute, you’ll need to use a longer one so that it gets processed.
Once you’ve done the four steps above, try re-uploading the file again.
